Lead Interaction Designer at AdRoll in San Francisco, CA

Lead Interaction Designer

Do you get excited about working with smart people and solving challenging design problems? We are looking for a talented Lead Interaction Designer to help define, create, and test our web-based product. You would be the only visual/UI designer in the company. As such, the interaction and user interface of every new product we create would be designed by you.

Our ideal candidate will have deep experience with the entire user-centered design process: from researching user needs to building polished interfaces. We're interested in someone with a passion for user testing and an eye for clean, beautiful interfaces. Strong Photoshop and graphic design skills are a must.

To be considered, applicant must show a portfolio of relevant design work.

Adroll is a revenue-generating, venture-backed web advertising startup with a talented team of about 15 people. We help small businesses and niche website publishers find each other and form mutually beneficial advertising relationships.

We believe strongly in team chemistry. Our company is a highly talented group with backgrounds at Microsoft, Paypal, NASA, Y Combinator, and Aptimus. We’re backed by some of the savviest investors in the space, including Merus Capital and Accel Partners. Our offices are located in downtown San Francisco near Union Square. Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of interaction design work, focusing on user interfaces and user experience on the web
* Strong graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
* Experience developing interfaces using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript (jQuery)
* Ability to quickly prototype designs and iterate towards production-level quality
* Bonus points for illustration ability (icons, etc.)
* Commitment to highly usable and polished product design
* Extensive experience and dedication to user-tested design
* Excellent communication skills
* A roll-up-your-sleeves, self-starter personality
* Delivers on time and gets things done

Responsibilities:
* Work closely with colleagues from various divisions to define user needs based on feedback and interviews (features, flows, data presentation, etc.)
* Conceive appropriate interfaces for user tasks
* Build graphic UI assets in Photoshop or similar application
* Work closely with front-end developers to implement your designs using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
